No, you would not be permitted to “copy” the design. In a lot of cases the architect or designer may decide not to have copies of their plans sold keeping the home/building unique.

Then, on the other hand, architects design and sell plans of homes all over the internet. I have seen plans starting at $500 up to thousands.

Look at this way: an architect may spend literally hundreds of hours designing a great building, why would they then give that value away? I wouldn’t.
